The "Guntur Sannam" is not just any chilli; it is a world-famous variety known for its long shape and thick skin. It is grown in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The skin of this chilli is full of natural oils which give it a very bright red color and a spicy taste that is not too sharp but stays on your tongue for a long time.
"Knowledge of the ingredient is the first step to becoming a master of the kitchen."
At Flavorack, we select only the Sannam variety that has been dried properly on the plant itself. We then use dehydration to remove the remaining moisture. This variety is the best for South Indian non-veg dishes and spicy pickles because it gives that "Karam" (spiciness) that we all love in our meals.
